Independent Role: Strategist, designer, & consultant. Sean and I go way back to work with his band, the Ruffians, starting in 1999. For his solo work, I have been designing all of his CD packaging for singles, promotional items, and a full length.

Keene State College case study at Oomph
Role at Oomph: Director of UX & Design, strategist. Keene was a project that I led, from writing the proposal and winning the bid to recommending a content strategist consultant lead a Brand Archetype workshop to the design & architecture of the main site. Worked with Ashley Estes (US) and Akili Greer (UI) on the architecture and design, respectively.

Independent Role: Strategist, designer, & static-site developer. I resigned Taleen’s first website back in 2008. This design update takes advantage of new technology but still keeps the site very simple and focused on her eclectic and collaborative work.

Revenue Solutions Inc. (RSI)
Role at Oomph: Director of UX & Design, strategist, UX/UI design system consultant, digital accessibility-specialist. Revenue Systems had a complex custom SAAS product for government revenue collection systems. We consulted for about a year on tightening their design system usability, accessibility, and consistency and worked in Figma while consulting weekly with product owners and their front-end teams.

Independent Role: Strategist, designer, & static-site developer. Elizabeth has been a friend since I curated an art show in 2004. In 2010, we co-designed and implemented her second website on a CMS I co-created. In 2022, I redesigned her site to reflect the growth of her work.

State of Rhode Island: Quahog Design System
State of RI case study at Oomph⤴
Role at Oomph: Director of UX & Design, strategist, front-end developer, digital accessibility-specialist. During COVID, I worked with the team to develop a new state-wide CMS distribution and design system with five color themes, each with light and dark modes, and over 30 visual components, all with a high accessibility conformance. In four months, the State rolled out the first handful of sites to communicate important health information. After five years, over 100 agencies use the system. In 2025, I am leading an audit and design refresh.

Python.org⤴
Role at Project Evolution: Creative Director, UX architect, front-end developer. Hard to believe, but more than 10 years later, the interface of Python looks the same as it did when we launched its brand refresh. It looked dated now, but the leap from where it came from was massive and still remains an upgrade I am proud of.

Jeff Carpenter⤴
Independent Role: Strategist, designer, & custom CMS developer. Jeff and I worked together on a few projects starting around 2007 before we redesigned his art portfolio website. Previous projects included Reconnect.US, an art exhibition; Arts Express, a Fall River, Massachusetts-based non-profit; and Fall River Storefront Artists, a storefront revitalization project. Jeff and I continue to work together on his digital presence.

Preserve RI⤴
Independent Role: Digital and Print Designer, Brand Strategist. Our work with Preserve RI brought back a previous logo iteration and modernized it. The five acorns — one for each of Rhode Island’s five counties — had been shelved but proved to be a lovely, unique, and beloved part of their brand identity. In combination with bright greens and a modern semi-serif font, the logo lockup more than 20 years later still reflects some of our original thinking.
